Hugh O’Neill’s is a very cozy Irish pub. The interior is amazing and makes you feel at home. The service was friendly but it took a long time to get drinks and food. They have a good beer menu and the food menu is pretty good as well. We went when they had live music and it was so loud we couldn’t really talk at the table. But the live music was very good, classic Irish music. Overall a good experience, I will be coming back but not during live music.
Our go-to local, always a wonderful crowd and most nights there is music. Good menu of diverse hearty fare and a long line of taps. Parking can be an issue on the weekend, but there are options within walking distance. This is the place that led the renaissance of the area 20 years ago, and it is now a beloved landmark.
This place is surely one of the most pleasant place in the neighborhood. Every time I visit this place I am highly satisfied. They maintain their high standard service and the highest level of meals they offer. You always win with this place. Highly recommended.
Stopped by for lunch while waiting for our bodaborg reservation across the street. Food was decent but nothing amazing. It was pretty empty and the staff seemed a bit distant, seems like more of a dinner place. I would find somewhere else to eat for lunch.
Came to Boston for an authentic Irish experience & Hugh O'Neill's did not disappoint. I got the Boiled Dinner (corned beef stew) & Steve got the steak tips. The food was delicious! Our waitress was polite and courteous. Drink refills were a little slow and the bar was a little limited, but otherwise - I loved the pub. Very nice atmosphere.
I love this place! They give first-rate dishes, their menu is nice, The chef in that restaurant is very trained, I love very much tasting all their food. The dishes are consistently of high qualtity, the attitude towards the customers is good. I visit often this restaurant and I was never disappointed. I recommend it to all.

Everything here is great, but here's an insider tip- try the sweet potato crinkle cut fries with the wasabi sauce. This is a short stroll from J Malden Center too!!
Randy behind the bar is the best. They have a great selection of craft beer and the food is real good. We go here after hockey and they never disappoint
It's a good place to eat. The food was good and the staff was excellent. I went with a large group. We were served quickly and the staff politely answer the questions that were asked multiple times.
